VentureNEXT Honors Outstanding Startups

VentureNEXT will be November 6, 2014 from 5:30 – 8:30 pm. at the Lifestyle Communities (LC) Pavilion in Columbus’ Arena District.

TechColumbus will produce the event in partnership with corporate and community sponsors.

VentureNEXT is an exciting new approach to celebrating entrepreneurial success. We want folks in the Central Columbus region to be inspired and engaged,” said Tom Walker, TechColumbus CEO.

VentureNEXT will be fun and lively—hence the LC location. At the event, the most innovative startup companies in the region will be recognized. Startups that have executed business models judged to have the best chance of sustainable success will be recognized.

VentureNEXT will add a new dimension to the features of prior year’s Innovation Awards that participants liked best—networking, learning about break-through innovations, and hearing first-hand from entrepreneurs about their companies while offering a fresh, fast-paced friendly and interactive format.

    We, at the Center on Education for Training and Employment, at OSU offer a job analysis service called DACUM at a special price for local companies. The results of a two-day workshop is a detailed listing of the duties and tasks that expert workers (any job) must be able to perform. The results can be used for legal job descriptions, as solid basis for curriculum development and training plus management decision making. A conceptual job analysis can be particularly valuable to new companies wanting conceptualize what employees in a new job area should be expected to do.
