A significant demand for talent exists in support of the rapidly growing logistics field.  A male dominated industry, logistics is working to make changes to attract a more diverse workforce including women…but it’s not just about attracting women into the occupations, rather retaining them and advancing them up the pipeline into more senior-level careers.  Research supports that having a sponsor at work is a key for influencing retention as is hiring women in positions where they have visibility to inspire and encourage other women into the industry- women and girls need to see more female role models in the workplace.

Join us for Women in Logistics- Mentoring relationships: Coaching as a Development Strategy.  First, hear from President & CEO of Women in Trucking Association, Ellen Voie, who will give a Keynote presentation on how her association promotes the employment of women in trucking and logistics, removes obstacles that keep women from succeeding, and celebrates the success of its members.

Learn and participate in a facilitated panel-led discussion:

  • Becky Atcheson, President, TransConnect, LLC
  • Debbie Ryan, Vice President of Global Transportation and Logistics, Ascena Reail Group
  • Ellen Voie, President & CEO, Women in Trucking Association
  • Moderator: Nora Gerber, Columbus Chamber

Panelists will discuss how development and mentorship leads to the retention and engagement of women in logistics.

Following the program, a networking reception allows audience members the opportunity to mingle amongst themselves and with speakers to continue the conversation.

Stella & Dot will offer facility tours after the program.
