Part of Innovate New Albany’s TIGER Talks series:

The healthcare industry is rapidly changing due to regulation, demographics, and market dynamics. However, the greatest transformation will come from technologies that empower patients to manage their healthcare needs like consumers. Imagine if medical information were at your fingertips (compare to Google); imagine if healthcare communities existed online (similar to Facebook); imagine if providers were publicly evaluated on a routine basis (like the Yelp model); and imagine if healthcare products and services were easy to compare and purchase (think Amazon). A growing group of startups and incumbents are bringing these innovations to market.

Shaun Young will provide a glimpse into these technologies and most importantly, show how you and your business can utilize these tools to control rising healthcare costs. Shaun has spent nearly two decades in healthcare starting on the front lines as a pharmacist. He spent the last 10 years on the forefront of consumer-driven healthcare at Walmart and Cardinal Health before founding Ardina, a Columbus-based healthcare startup.

Shaun Young is a pharmacist turned entrepreneur whose goal is to make healthcare more affordable and convenient for every American. Having spent time at corporate leaders, such as Kaiser Permanente, Eli Lilly, Walmart, and Cardinal Health, Shaun has seen how healthcare works from the inside. He founded Ardina to bring his expertise to consumers. Shaun earned his Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of the Pacific and his MBA at the Harvard Business School.
