Rev1 Ventures and The J.M. Smucker Company Announce Strategic Partnership

New Smucker/Rev1 Partnership Good News for Food Tech and Innovation

The J.M. Smucker Company, a Fortune 500 food and beverage company headquartered in Orrville, OH, is partnering with Rev1 to support startups innovating food and food processing technologies.
Smucker will tap into Rev1’s approach for working with disruptive startups and large corporate innovation programs. The collaboration will help Smucker connect with emerging technologies and startups that are transforming the food industry in ingredient and process technology, snacking, commodity and supply chain, and more.

Accounting for 15.3 cents of every U.S. consumer food dollar, the food and beverage sector is huge with an appetite for adopting innovative technologies to serve customers in new ways.

This is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to work with a global food company who has been a market leader for more than 120 years. Startups will have access to Smucker’s market expertise, with the opportunity for joint development, product licensing, and more.

Our partnership with Smucker is yet another example of the deep work we are doing with regional corporate innovation leaders. Together, this partnership and our other partnerships with corporations and research institutions are shining the light on innovation in Columbus and across Ohio.
