Rev1 Ventures Begins Search for Next CEO to Lead Its Next Chapter
For more than 14 years, it has been my privilege to serve as the founding CEO of Rev1 Ventures.
When we launched Rev1’s venture platform, our goal was simple: help more founders start and scale great companies in the Midwest. Since then, thousands of entrepreneurs, mentors, investors, corporate partners, and community leaders have come together to build one of the country’s most collaborative innovation ecosystems. Rev1 has been fortunate to take a central role in that progress.
Today, Rev1 supports founders building the next generation of technology companies across software, life sciences, and advanced technologies. Alongside our partners, we have supported more than 1,600 startups and helped founders attract billions in capital while strengthening the region’s innovation economy.
Our Board and leadership team have taken deliberate steps to position Rev1 for its next era of impact – strengthening our structure, expanding our capital platform, and building an organization to serve founders for decades to come. To lead that evolution, the Rev1 Board has initiated a national search for our next President and Chief Executive Officer. I will continue serving as CEO until the new leader is in place to ensure continuity.
Columbus has emerged as one of the Midwest’s most dynamic innovation markets, combining world-class research institutions, Fortune 500 companies, and a rapidly growing startup community. Rev1 works at the center of that ecosystem, helping founders access the relationships and resources that accelerate new company growth.
Rev1 Ventures’ next President and CEO will lead one of the country’s most respected venture development organizations, and sit at the helm of our long-tenured leadership team that brings deep venture development expertise. We see this next phase as an opportunity to expand Rev1’s impact, deepen partnerships, and support the next generation of founders.
I want to thank the many founders, partners, investors, and community leaders who have supported Rev1 along this journey. Building companies is hard. Building an ecosystem is even harder. The progress we’ve made reflects the work of an extraordinary community.
I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together – and we are all excited about what comes next.
