Beyond the Pitch
Rev1 Founders’ Lunch | Startup Weekend Winners: Where Are They Now?
To many, entrepreneurship is a dream, an ambition, and unfortunately, a mystery. Additionally, the hardest part of starting up is starting out. To help bridge this gap, Startup Weekend, a global organization, was born, helping to bring events to local communities to provide an environment where the mainstream employee can become an entrepreneur and an idea turns into reality. At these events, participants experience the highs, lows, fun, and pressure that make up life at a startup.
At Rev1 Venture’s June Founders’ Lunch, we will be speaking with a panel of Startup Weekend winners; discussing their experiences leading up to winning Startup Weekend, the challenges they faced, how participating in Startup Weekend worked as a catalyst for their concepts, and what the status of their projects are today. Featured in this panel includes Jay Clouse, Founder of Unreal Collective and Startup Weekend Facilitator & Organizer, Claire Coder, Founder and CEO of Aunt Flow, and Nora Gerber, Community Engagement Specialist.
Join us as these visionaries share their story, hurdles, and inspiration behind their experiences taking a concept to a business all in only 54 hours.
Rev1’s Founders’ Lunch series features first-hand insights into the triumphs, trials, and tribulations of Rev1 company founding teams. Each luncheon will feature a founding story and tips on a topic, plus delicious food from a local eatery and optional guided tours of the Rev1 Labs facility.
